The School of Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the following tenure-track positions. Positions are at the Assistant Professor level and are nine-month appointments with the possibility of summer teaching. Positions are available August 2001 and involve teaching assignments in undergraduate or masters level graduate programs. Success in the position requires excellence in teaching, scholarly growth, and a commitment to university and community service. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Literacy Education (2 tenure-track positions). Primary duties: Emphasis on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Reading/Literacy. Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Reading/Literacy by September 2001; minimum three years teaching experience in grades K-12; commitment to working with professional organizations is preferred.
